Country Arts SA recognises that we are living and creating on First Nations Lands and we are committed to working together to honour their living cultures.
NAIDOC 2021 invites the nation to embrace First Nations’ cultural knowledge and understanding of Country as part of Australia’s national heritage and equally respect the culture and values of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islanders as they do the cultures and values of all Australians.
Due to this year’s powerful theme we have invited Senior Cultural Custodian Karl Winda Telfer to work with us to curate this year’s NAIDOC Mayor’s Reception.
To complement this year’s NAIDOC theme we will have a panel discussion with Traditional Owners and First Nations community leaders discussing NAIDOC and this year’s theme “Heal Country!”
The Kaurna clay artwork will be on display, completing its journey from last year’s NAIDOC Mayor’s reception and we will have performances form Yellaka and Kahl Wallis followed by a community BBQ.
Transaction fees apply: Online $2.50 – Counter/Phone $3.50
