Working mainly in Pastel I have been drawing since old enough to hold a pencil. Pet Portraits are my specialty. Creating paintings that capture the character of individual animals is always a joy for me, particularly of cherished pets.

To see a portrait of a treasured furry or feathered member of one’s family always brings pleasure to their owners, often with tears of happiness.
This certainly makes it worth the extra dedication it takes me to get a great likeness!

Recent years have seen me include people in my paintings, and this has proven a popular addition. My paintings including people tend to be “capturing a moment” rather than typical posed portraits.
