Barefaced Stories is a modern type of storytelling, that can elevate those voices that might not easily find a microphone – real people, not just comedians or celebrities.
At Barefaced Stories, you will see real people from your community, take to the stage armed only with a true-life tale. They are honest, raw, vulnerable, wear their bloody, beating heart on their sleeve, and are some of the bravest folk you’ll meet.
When we hear other people’s stories, we begin to think about the world in different ways.
The night will be a celebration of local stories on your local stages. With an audience and community as keen to participate as to watch. Barefaced Stories have nothing to hide. They are a love song to the human condition and stories that are about people surrendering to the chaos of being human. In one night you will weep, laugh, and maybe even pee yourself a little.
Real stories are what Barefaced loves and that’s what they leave behind.

Andrea Gibbs is the co-creator of Barefaced Stories and believes that people’s stories matter.
Two storytelling workshops will be facilitated by her and she will help all participants find their story* worth sharing, teach them how to craft it, and give them the tools to tell it with confidence.
Andrea will support workshop participants to find their story, she will create the right space for them to tell it, a place without fear and a place where they could really be themselves.
