Nature Studio returns in 2025 and is a free community art event which invites people of all ages and abilities to celebrate their local landscape through art.
Working alongside an experienced local artist mentor, participants are invited to bring drawing or painting equipment, cameras or tablets and to create a piece of art which responds to the environment and the artist’s connection to place. A selection of art materials will also be available for trial on the day.
In 2025 there will be 5 Nature Studio events, held in the following locations:
– Port Lincoln
– Yorke Peninsula
– Naracoorte
– Whyalla
– Goyder

Nature Studio is a community art event which invites people of all ages and abilities to create art outdoors; from well known practicing artists to enthusiastic hobbyists and children. Everyone is welcome.
Although people are encouraged to bring materials and equipment, there will be some materials provided for use on the day. Participants will need to bring their own chairs, easels, sunscreen, insect repellent and hats if needed.
Each coordinator will advise participants of the central site. People are welcome to stay for as long as they would like – a couple of hours or all day.
We encourage children to come. This is an intergenerational event.
Lunch is provided for participants, and we can cater for vegetarian/vegan and gluten free requirements. We suggest you bring your own snacks and water, and if you have very specific dietary requirements you may feel more comfortable bringing your own lunch.
