Theatres are exciting places at the best of times, but sometimes it’s a bit hard to watch live actors in front of the same scenery in a two hour play about life death and everything else.
So for a change we thought we’d get rid of all that and create an event that allows you to explore and celebrate the screen instead. The one in your pocket as well as the large one just recently installed in the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre.
SBFA14 is an eight hour event for the keen, the curious, the novice and the expert. Basically people like you who live in Mount Gambier and have the attitude to take over the Sir Robert Helpmann theatre with some good, new fashioned Screen Based Fun Activity!
The day consists of game tournaments; a movie; casual creative tech participatory sessions; imaginative social media explorations; next generation technology demonstrations; a DJ who specialises in retro games; info sessions, local project demos, we’ve even got your local friendly hypnotist on board to give you a virtual experience! And there is much, much more. So get your geek on, be like a cat with lazer eyes and come for a couple of hours or stay for the full eight!
Come join us, the theatre bar will be open and it’s totally FREE so can you wander in and out and participate as you please.
See you there!
Transaction fees apply: Online $2.50 – Counter/Phone $3.50
