The Murray Bridge Regional Gallery has three outstanding exhibitions currently open to the public.

My Space

This exhibition-in-progress will commence with long-term resident Ken Wells’ photographic documentation of Murray Bridge’s buildings shown alongside contemporary photographs of the town taken by local young people.

 

Photographs contributed via email or Instagram will be added to the exhibition throughout its duration.

An exhibition of works on the backing papers of used films. Blurred by universal and personal time and movement from the macro to micro; like superimposed photographs these images speak of semi-conscious glimpses of landscape and life.

 

Compression of Being is now showing in the Jean Sims Gallery until  21 July 2013.

The Third Space: intercultural crafting

The Third Space: intercultural crafting is an exhibition of work resulting from creative partnerships between five culturally and linguistically diverse craftspeople and five South Australian artists. The exhibition is an extension of Craftsouth’s Traditional Craft Skills Project.

Masuma Akther (Bangladeshi quilt embroidery) with Kay Lawrence (textiles)
Oluwole Oginni (Nigerian indigo dying) with Simone Tippet (printmaker)
Milete-Tsega Ogbalidet (Eritrean basketry) with Lisa Furno (jewellery)
Lady Narvaez Peñaloza (Columbian string bags and molas) with Jelina Haines (textiles)
