During August the African community of Bordertown is set to celebrate and showcase their culture in song, dance and food for the local community.

 

The events represents a major cultural event for the Tatiara and a first for the African communities in Bordertown.

 

Watoto African Children’s Choir

 

With vibrant, new original music, exciting dance routines and life-transforming stories, the message of hope and inspiration. The Watoto Children’s Choir are ambassadors of the millions of orphaned and vulnerable children in Africa.

 

Date/Time: Thursday, August 1 at 7pm

Venue: Highway Christian Centre, North Tce, BORDERTOWN

Cost: FREE

 

African Dinner

 

A night of a African food, local migrant entertainment and guest speakers.

 

Date/Time: Saturday, August 3 at 6pm

Venue: Tatiara Civic Centre, Woolshed St, BORDERTOWN

Cost: $15 per person / $10 high school students / $5 primary school students

Tickets: available at the Tatiara District Council (Bordertown office) 8752 1044 or any Tatiara Church.
