Big turnout for Donna Legovinis exhibition in Streaky Bay
More than 100 people attended popular Streaky Bay artist Donna Legovinis exhibition opening on Sunday 5 January. Ms Legovini opened her latest collection of works; the Three Bunches exhibition featuring hand painted Linoprints inspired by a floral theme and the artist’s love of printmaking.
Elliott’s Bakery & Café was packed wall to wall as fellow artist and long time friend Sara Goosay spoke from the heart of Donnas’ achievements to officially open the exhibition. Donna warmly responded by thanking Sara and all who attended. She also acknowledged Elliott’s Bakery and Café and Country Arts SA for exhibition and venue support. Ms. Legovini admitted that she was nervous and excited all at the same time in the lead up to the exhibition. She was buoyed by the positive reponses to her latest works.
Over two thirds of the artworks sold at the opening. The exhibition will run until Saturday 15 February 2014 with several pieces still available for sale.
