The Clare Valley Film Festival (CVFF)  13-16 November 2013 showcases Australian and international independent film as well as informing and inspiring a new generation of filmmakers through the Clewers Film Challenge.

This inclusive festival aims to break down the perceptions that filmmaking is difficult and costly. CVFF’s focus is to arm Australians with the knowledge and skills to tell their stories through film.

CVFF 2013 kicks off on Wednesday 13th November, with evening screenings from partner festivals, Rome Independent Film Festival – RIFF on Tour, and International Short Film Festival Cyprus presents ISFFC on Tour.

Friday 15 November is Comedy Night, curated by South Australia’s own Emmy Award winner Rob George.  Topping the bill is a gem from the UK, Conversation Piece, starring Celia Imrie.

The festival’s feature film line-up also includes The Telegram Man, starring Australian screen legends Jack Thompson, Gary Sweet and Sigrid Thornton.

This year’s educational program centres around the project Asha, providing an exciting opportunity to be part of the making of an actual movie from the read through, to post production, to red carpet!   Penned by Rob George and directed by Dan Bradley,  Asha is to be shot March 2014 in the Clare Valley.  Workshop participants will be  first in line for the coveted cast and crew positions.   In conjuction with Clare Writers’ Festival 2013, Rob George’s masterclass will be held on Saturday 16 November.
