Every Generation has contributed to a special inter-generational creative project involving the young children of the Carol Murray Children’s Centre in collaboration with the residents of the Tatiara Retirement Village.
Initiated by Arts & Cultural Development Officer, Naomi Fallon and staff at the Carol Murray Children Centre, the project brings together children and seniors in celebration of the Every Generation Festival.
For the last 6 months, both communities have been working (and playing) together in creating a fun exhibition called “Over the Fence” which explores their shared fence-line and celebrates the time spent together.
The project has built a caring, respectful and enjoyable connection between the two communities and has ultimately built the foundation for future collaborative projects.
“Over the Fence” will be at the Walkway Gallery, Bordertown from September 27 to October 18.
For more information contact Naomi Fallon on 08 8752 1044.
