Iconic Flags for the Tatiara

Visiting Adelaide artists Kalyna Micenko and Bob Daly from SPINfx will be facilitating workshops with schools from across the Tatiara and the wider community to create iconic appliqué flags to fly at celebratory events.

Bob and Kalyna are renowned for their colourful visual and performing arts projects (both large and small) with people of all ages and abilities. This project will play an important role in encouraging each community to explore ideas, develop skills and will connect young people in a shared art experience.

The Tatiara District Council Iconic Flag Project is one of sixteen South Australian projects successful in the recently announced funding as part of the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund (RAF).

Bob and Kalyna begin on October 24 and will be spending a total of 3 weeks in the district.

The community is encouraged to join in during the ‘construction’ stage at the Tatiara Civic Centre from 2 – 6 December 2013.

All skill levels welcome!

An official launch will happen during the Tatiara Christmas Street Party Events.
