A $1,000 in prize money is up for grabs for an acquisitive sculpture prize which will run in conjunction with the Moot Yang Gunya Festival and Mundulla Show on March 1st and 2nd, 2014.
The aim is for the small rural town to acquire sculptures suitable for installation along the walking tracks of Mundulla.
Sculptures may represent the flora, fauna or agricultural aspects of the Tatiara district and can be constructed with metal, mosaic, timber or stone. They may be free standing or small enough to sit on fence posts or logs.
There must be no moving parts or sharp edges likely to cause injury. Safety will be an aspect of the judging criteria.
Prizes are $500 for first, $250 for second, $150 for third, and $50 for ‘small & cute’. The winning sculpture will be acquired by Mundulla on the Move to be installed in Mundulla park lands and become part of the Tatiara Public Art Trail.
Entries are free and close February 27th, 2014.
