Country Arts SA recognises that we are living and creating on First Nations Lands and we are committed to working together to honour their living cultures.
As part of Country Arts SA’s commitment to delivering sustained support to regional artists, the Riverland Mallee Community Art Prize is being transformed to deliver better future outcomes.
In place of the Art Prize, consultation with emerging visual artists from across the region will be undertaken. The consultation sessions will be used to gather information that will be used to better understand the needs of practicing visual artists and assist them with their artistic aspirations.
Country Arts SA strives to provide opportunities for artists to develop and sustain thriving and dynamic careers in the places they live and work in regional SA.
“Country Arts SA has a strong statewide visual arts program that supports artists at all stages of their careers. By building a deeper understanding of artists from the Riverland, Murraylands and Mallee regions, we will be able to implement more tailored support for artists and strengthen their skills and professional prospects through our diverse programs already on offer,” said Country Arts SA’s CE Anthony Peluso.
