Simplifying the complex

Photo details:  Kathy Cowley and Mark Waller

Visiting artist Mark Waller will facilitate a two day workshop with members of the Port Lincoln Art Group during October.

Travelling from Lennox Heads in NSW, Mark will share his skills in painting seascapes, coastal scenes, waves, cloudscapes, skyscapes working mainly in acrylic paints.

This project was possible with the dedication of Kathy Cowley the president of the Art Group who sought financial support with a Skills Development grant from Country Arts SA.  Kathy said “without this support it would be impossible for us to access this type of professional development”.

Members are now looking forward to the two day workshop which is to be held Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th October at the Arteyrea art studio, Mortlock Terrace, Port Lincoln.

With local support from the Civic Hall Board and the Port Lincoln Arts Council this hands on workshop with Mark Waller will motivate and inspire this local group of artists. In addition the creation of new art works to be displayed in the local community will be an inspiration to others to take up art as an interest and the group are hoping it will generate new members.
