Mt Gambier based textile, fibre and yarn group, the Creatrices is running a series of workshops at Bordertown’s Walkway Gallery during August.
Creatrices artists Bernadette Clifford, Glenys Hughes, Hilder Henderson, Julie Ann McEwen, Kay McDonnell and Peggy Schwarz are exhibiting at the Walkway Gallery during August for the SALA Festival with their exhibition Bushland, Bull Ants & Bracken.
Workshops are open to everyone, and no previous experience is required.
WORKSHOP PROGRAM
Nuno Felted Scarf: create a lightweight scarf from merino, silk fabric and silk tops

Felted Vessels: create a 3D cylindrical or circular bowl-like vessel in felt

Decorative Papers: Looking at ways of getting patterns and colour onto paper. Including simple printing.

Making a Simple Book: If attending the morning workshop, participants can use papers created, otherwise, students can use individual art/drawings/prints to create a simple book.
